Energetic Power

We are all born with the power of being alive and conscious beings. Life is energy and energy is power. By definition, we are power.

Humans are made up of matter and energy. The matter is our physical self and the energy is our non-physical that enables the physical to evolve. Our ability to think is energy. Talking is energetic vibrations bouncing around our mouths. We eat food to sustain our energy, have sex to create more energy, and exercise to regulate our energy.

Everything we do involves energy.

Energy is what we share in common with nature. This is why we are nature! The natural world is all energy just with varying degrees of it. Humans contain so much energy that we have the conscious ability of self-awareness. Self-awareness and communication set us apart from the other species on the planet.

Status of Homosapiens

It’s easy to forget that we are part of the beautiful natural world that we live in. There are some people who believe that humans today should be characterized as a new species due to our nature divorcement. They argue that instead of homosapien (“wise man”), we have become sapien domesticofragilis (“wise, fragile, domesticated man”). I learned this term from Daniel Vitalis and Arthur Haines on the ReWild Yourself podcast. Daniel and Arthur are two really interesting people living the lifestyle of neo-aboriginals, in other words they are rewilding. They are returning to our roots as hunter gatherers, adapting within the modern world.

Have you ever seen the t-shirt graphic showing an ape on all fours transforming into a walking ape, human, and then human slouched over a computer screen? Well, this demonstrates exactly our progression as a species. We’ve evolved growing upwards until we started shrinking ourselves to view television screens and computer monitors.

We have progressed in our evolution to the point of outsourcing all of our basic needs to someone else. This means that we are paying money to some other person/entity to provide our shelter, food, and water. Most of us pay for these basic needs with a currency earned through a separate task completely divorced from our needs for survival. This outsourcing is one example of how we have “given away our power” because we are using a middle-man to sustain ourselves.

Now, being able to outsource our needs isn’t necessarily a bad thing for it gives us the gift of time to do and create other things. However, it is a good example of how simple it is to give away our power without realizing it.

Okay…but what is Personal Power?

So far we know that we are power-ful beings. We also know that modern society is set up in a way for us to forget our direct connection to nature and energetics.

I am writing this article to remind you that everyone of us was born onto this planet whole. We are born knowing that we have full personal power to take care of ourselves.

Babies are the most sovereign and honest humans alive.

Personal power is sovereignty, or being able to operate indepently from anything or anyone else.

Before we learn behaviours or pick up patterns, we scream, shout, cry, poop our pants, spittle, we do whatever it takes or get the attention we need to attend to our energy. We are born knowing fully well what we need and we are not afraid to ask for it. This is sovereignty. We are also born aware that we are too small to do things for ourselves, so we ask for help from the grown humans to fulfill our needs. Asking for help is still maintaining sovereignty. Giving away sovereignty would be accepting help when you don’t need it.

How we lose sight of our Personal Power: Subconscious Programming

Childhood is a very critical time in our lives. Not only do we receive help from the adults to attend to our needs, but we also rely upon them to understand how the world works. We develop our subconscious mind during childhood, which is where we store all of our automatic actions in our minds.

This means that if we are crying and are told “shush,” then we will develop the subconscious program to hold in our feelings when we are upset because no one wants to hear it. The older we get, the more patterns like this we will pick up. By the time we are well into adulthood and living “on our own”, we are have picked up so many subconscious programs that we disable ourselves from sovereignty.

The Power of Emotions

Most of the habits we pick up involve hiding our emotions, as society has built a story-line around emotions equating to “weakness”.

Emotions are “energy in motion”. E-motion. As we discussed earlier, energy is the cornerstone of life. This must mean then that emotions are also very important. Emotions are our energetic communication system.

Babies are born with the ability to communicate through their emotions. Emotions are truth, as they have a direct connection to your energetic needs.

When we start hiding our emotions, we are suppressing our truth. If you use words as your main communication system, detached from emotions, you are giving away your personal power. By doing this, you are choosing to uphold some external order above tending to your own needs. Fret not, most of us do this. This is what the world has become – an externalized self-propelling machine.

It takes a lot of conscious thought – thus, energy – to deprogram and remember your own autonomy through emotions.

How to TAKE YOUR POWER BACK

The “secret” to personal power is feeling.

Feelings are our foundational communication system, before words. Words are meant to express our feelings, our emotions, but instead words have come to express societal formalities.

We continue to uphold societal power structures (“the man”) by handing over the reigns to our emotions. We do this when we react in fear.

FEAR:

FEAR

What is “false evidence”? “Evidence” represents an experience that your brain registers a lesson from and creates a subconscious program based on. “False evidence” is a subconscious programming that we receive from others, telling us how to react. This is “false” because no one is in control of your emotions and reactions except you. This is the true understanding of personal power.

No one can ever make you feel some way.

You allow someone to make you feel some way, which means that you are in control. This also means that fear is a mirage. Fear is an illusion of lack of control over your own feelings.

You are in complete control, always.

You choose to feel how you feel, but remember that no matter what emotion it is you are feeling, it is a valid energetic movement within you. Every emotion is communicating to you, especially fear. Fear is your mind’s way of keep you safe. So, if you are afraid, be sure to asses what you are reacting to and indeed if it is a threat to your safety. If it is not a true threat, then your emotions have been hijacked. Simply reclaim them.

Your emotions are either hijacked from someone else’s subconscious programs, or your own.

So, to reclaim your power:

  1. Remember that you are in control of how you feel; and
  2. Reprogram your subconscious to get rid of habits that no longer serve your protection.

Feel your energy through. Emotions are your true communication power.

Reclaim yourself. Take your energy back. You are in full control…to let go.
